Richard W. Ervin, IV, Esquire, is a graduate of Florida State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s in business administration with a concentration in finance, and achieved honors on the Dean’s List. Richard earned another bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Florida where he excelled academically, gaining admission into Golden Key Honor Society- the world’s largest collegiate honor society. While a student at FSU, Richard interned for Rep. Barry Silver in the Florida House of Representatives, volunteered on his professor’s mayoral campaign, and was an active member of Sigma Pi fraternity.

Prior to attending law school, Richard pursued a career in banking and finance, working as a financial analyst for Branch Banking and Trust and a financial planner with American Express Financial Advisors.

Richard earned his law degree from Nova Law School where he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. While attending Nova Law, Richard interned at the Public Defender’s office, 2nd Circuit, the Ft. Lauderdale City Prosecutor’s office, and Yoss LLP. Richard was awarded Nova Law School’s highest pro bono honor for completing over 500 pro bono service hours. Richard has been active in the community, volunteering for the Trey Curry Foundation, Metropolitan Ministries, Volunteer Reading Tutors, and The Sharing Tree.

After graduating from law school, Richard joined Curry Law Group in January of 2013 drafting pleadings, discovery, motions and appellate briefs in several areas including corporate litigation, family law, criminal defense and workers compensation.
